Connor Scruggs
Coach Connor is a highly accomplished former collegiate third baseman whose playing career is defined by consistent excellence and high-level recognition. A 2014 graduate of Naaman Forest High School, he earned 1st Team All-District honors as a third baseman before continuing his career at the collegiate level.
He played at Eastfield College from 2015–2016, anchoring the infield as a third baseman before transferring to the University of Texas at Dallas. At UTD, he quickly established himself as one of the top players in the region. In 2017, he earned 1st Team All-Conference honors along with ABCA and D3baseball.com All-Region recognition.
Connor continued his standout career in 2018, once again earning 1st Team All-Conference honors and adding 2nd Team All-Region accolades. That same year, he played a key role on UTD’s first-ever All-Conference Championship team, helping elevate the program to new heights.
He graduated from UTD in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and later earned his Master’s degree in History in 2021, demonstrating the same dedication to academic achievement that he brought to the field.
