Michael Weatherly

Coach Mike is a seasoned baseball coach with a rich background as a collegiate and professional pitcher. A 2009 graduate of Mesquite High School, he began his college career at Eastfield Junior College (2009–2011), where he was part of a National Championship team, before transferring to Angelo State University (2011–2013). At Angelo State, he earned First Team All-Conference honors and contributed to the Lone Star Conference Championship team.

Following college, he pitched professionally for the Gary Railcats and San Angelo Colts, gaining valuable experience at the highest levels of competition.

As a coach, Mike emphasizes character, resilience, and faith. “I love glorifying Jesus and letting it be known that without Him my life wouldn’t be as great as it currently is. I enjoy teaching our players how to overcome adversity, persevere through trials, and come out stronger and better because of it. The game of baseball does this consistently, and having scripture to lean on when things get hard is what I want the boys I coach to be able to do.”

Through his coaching, he aims to develop both skilled athletes and grounded, confident young men prepared for life on and off the field.
